With over one hundred thousand installations since its introduction in 1988, the IBP Glass Block Grid System sets the industry standard for windows, skylights, showers, and even floors.
The IBP system combines a strong, lightweight aluminum frame with glass block and weatherproof sealant to provide a cost-effective glass block installation without mortar. Builders, remodelers and experienced do-it-yourselfers can complete many windows in less than two hours (see photos below).
FLEXIBLE AND VERSATILE
The IBP Grid System accomodates normal structural movement and temperature-induced expansion/contraction. IBP systems are also easier to clean and maintain than mortared installations.
IBP window grids are available in standard sizes and can be mullioned together to create vast expanses of glass block. Lightweight yet sturdy, the grids compare well with security bars as a safeguard against unwanted entry.
REAL GLASS BLOCK
Unlike acrylics, glass blocks don't burn, don't scratch easily, and don't discolor or become brittle with exposure to sunlight. Glass block for the IBP system are available in a variety of patterns and colors. The IBP system can create windows, walls (including multi-story), shower enclosures (in many configurations), floors, skylights, and interior partitions.
IBP Grid System frames come in a variety of standard colors. For maximum design flexibility, you can select different colors for interior and exterior surfaces.
